Introducing Blockchain in Public Sector: Lessons Learned
On November 23, 2022, Infrachain, a consortium member of the European TOKEN project, organised the TOKEN webinar “Introducing Blockchain in Public Sector: Lessons Learned”.
Co-financed by the European Union, the project aims at easing the adoption of Decentralized Ledger Technologies as drivers for more open, transparent, trusted and efficient public services.
This event aimed to present some lessons learnt through the TOKEN project when introducing Blockchain in the public sector.
In the first part, participants learned from Konstantinos Glykos, Research Associate at CERTH/ITI (Greece) how the Municipality of Katerini created a blockchain-based e-voting system for the participation of citizens in public spending.
The second part of the event discussed the “Lessons Learned from Implementation for Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) in Public Sector” with Dr. Uwe Roth from the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).
Lastly, Patrick Weber, Attaché at the Ministry for Digitalisation took part in Blockchain in the Luxembourg Public Sector: A Discussion with the Ministry for Digitalisation.
